Hows Brixham fishing?
Hi NT&GC fishing forum.
I am the skipper who runs 'Kelly's Hero' a Lochin 33' out of Brixham. I was lucky enough to have on board Paul and his follows from Portishead a few weeks ago and judging from the report on this forum everyone else enjoyed the day as much did I.
Went out on Tuesday 27th again to some nearby wrecks looking for the last of the Bass which appear to be staying with us still!
Manged to find a couple of Bass best being 7 lbs caught by 14 year old Chris Meah from Paignton who came along with his brother Micahel and dad, also called Chris. A good fishing family with plenty of skills amongst them. Names to whatch for the future.
Also had a few congers at anchor, best to about 30 lbs and a couple of others around the 20's.
Must also say I don't think we have ever caught so many Pout around the 3 lbs mark, we were plauged by them!!
Weather conditions are going to now play a big part with the winter time fishing and must also say that fishing on the south coast has been a big leaning curve after leaving the tide racing Bristol Channel!!
I do however really enjoy the amount of varied species one can catch just a few miles either way from port.
Look forward to updating you all in the near future on whats being caught!
Tight lines, Dave

Hi Dave
good to see you on the forum mate, perhaps you could put a bit on the forum on how your trips work and the pricing policy. Hopefully the weather will be OK for the 6th, will confirm the date later with you.

Re: Hows Brixham fishing?
Hi Martin
Our pricing works a little different to others, what we have done is priced the boat per hour @ £45 per hour, with a max of 10 anglers so if the anglers want a little more space i.e fish with 7 then they have the option to book the boat by the hour and have the space.
Trips are also taylored to what you want from 2 to 12 hours, just ask. As I say on my web site 'Kelly's Hero' is not the fastest boat in the bay and if it is far off distant wrecks anglers want then I would suggest using the faster boats etc.We do however try to offer a comfortable service to all our anglers and welcome the younger generation, as these are the future for all in buisness!!
regards Dave
