You have just caught the fish of your dreams, or broken your PB, but it is hooked in the tail, fin, or somewhere other than the mouth.
The question is, would you claim it as a new PB ? Is it right to claim a foul hooked fish as a PB ? Or could you not sleep at night knowing it was foul hooked ?

What is your opinion on the size of Tackle Frenzy??????

TF butting in here on Lamby's post (hope that you don't mind Lamby). We have an opportunity to take on more space which may help our wholesale operation and enable us to increase the display area of the shop. It would allow us to display bivvies, shelters, beach buddies, chairs beach tri-pods, carp pods etc which we are unable to do at the present time. This could be an opportunity for us to present the tackle shop that I beleive ...

If carp are in a lake along with other fish /tench /bream/roach /rudd/perch.

does that lake become a carp lake ??

a tench lake ??

or any of the others??

if it becomes a lake with carp in with all the above, is it left alone with a bit of tender care to mature and become a pleasant place to be ?

if its a carp lake (fished by carp anglers)

does that mean it has to have the banks cleaned of vegetation in almost every swim to allow the use of bivvys

and all snags that a hooked ...

Do you think we get value for money for our rod licence fee

I would like to see how everyone feels about our yearly license fees, do we get value for money ?

I personally think that the EA do a great job down here and they do a great service. A lot of it is hidden from public view and I'm unsure how much people generally know about the work that they do.

I have generally found that the south of the country think that they do a great job, but up north the feelings are entirely different.

What does everyone else think ?

Do you think that fishing gear is generally too expensive ?

I wondered what everyone thinks about the cost of fishing gear, I suppose this covers all disciplines.

Personally I believe that the quality of tackle has improved by a very

large amount over the past 20 years and I believe that today you get a

lot more for your money. However there is a lot of tackle around that

is greatly over priced.

Now I know top quality items command a high price and this can be

justified with top spec gear to a degree, but there is a lot of gear on

the market ...

Carp Alarms

I must admit to being a bit wound up by the use of carp alarms for a day fishing session . I don't use alarms during the day for two reasons. The constant beeps and pings as the wind blows or the fish swim into the line is annoying and secondly my bait runners make a lovely wizz noise as the fish takes of with my rig indicating a take. The one down side is drop backs but since I tend to stay in my swim when I'm fishing I can pick up on these when they happen. I have my rods set up on alarms ...
