Well after weeks of abysmal weather, things appear to be on the up, who would have thought it after last night.

I've checked the five day forecast and after a bit of rain on Monday and Tuesday the remainder of the week appears to be dry, we shall see. Double figure temperatures, some sun and light winds, it's about flippin time

So I shall be starting my Tench season properly come Wednesday, I can't wait, I've been preparing my gear and I'm all set. I really want to break my PB this ...

Favorite fish??

What is your favorite fish and why?

My favorite fish is the roach because it is easy to catch in big quantities and are good fun. Also can be found in most rivers and lakes. They can also grow to 4lb plus as proven by Ray Clarke (http://www.tackletek.co.uk/ray_clarke.htm) and i would rather catch one of them than a 10lb common any day of the week.

Please tell us all what you favorite fish is and why

P.S Yes Unholymoondog, we all know yours but dont let that put you off putting why ...

Barbel Fishing

I have never caught a Barbel before, infact I believe that is the only coarse species that I have never caught. I would like 2008 to be the year for me to catch one. I don't mind if it's a pound or 10 pounds it would be great to get one.

Is there anyone that could arrange a Barbel fishing trip ?

PS Please don't tell my pretties (Tench) that I want to go Barbel fishing
