WARNING

Just a little warning for anyone who fishes at Well Barn be aware that there are adders basking in the sun around the lake Robbie saw 3 around the lake 2 against the roadside and 1 against the fence at the top end they disappeared as soon as they heard Robbie. Adders are always around this area this time of year so please do be careful as they give a nasty suck if hungry!!!!

Happy fishing hope to see more of you at the lake

Went for gold but keep getting silver

Had a good days fishing on Friday.

Constant roach, but nothing else. I even tried a bigger hook with corn and then luncheon meat but the roach were having that too.

I was float fishing the bottom about 6 inches over depth. I ended up loading the shot low down to get past the tiddlers which were taking the bait on the drop.

Can anyone suggest tactics or a bait to put off the tiddlers and target the bigger fish (or the tench!)

a nag and a moan please can everyone remember to take home any litter and especially old line as this creates havoc with the wildlife and my strimmers and mowers and having a teenager is bad enough let alone a stroppy one who gets caught up with nylon whilst strimming! spoke to a few people whilst fishing and they agree that the lake looks good but this can only be kept like this if we all take responsibility for our litter. thanks andy and the boys still good amount of fish to be caught ...

Andy and the lads have been fishing TF Well Barn Pond a fair amount of silvers have been coming out when the weather is warm and the carp are coming out to around the 8.5lb mark. The tenner for a tinca is still up for grabs and if you get one of the golden tench then we will double the voucher. Remember that this is for the first angler that comes up with a tench so get down to TF Well Barn Pond and 'ave a go.
